NARC.Fest
Annual, free multi-venue festival
The Ouseburn Festival takes place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July across the Ouseburn Valley. Celebrating the remarkable creativity of the area, the festival is a real salute to the community endeavours and cultural delights. The full festival announcement is due later this week, but we can exclusively reveal the line-up for the musical arm of the event – NARC. Fest!
Saturday 13th July will see venues across the Valley filled with live music, all free to attend. Venues taking part this year include The Cluny 2, The Cumberland Arms, The Old Coal Yard, Little Buildings (all from 7pm), The Tyne Bar (from 5pm) and The Grove (from 2pm).
Performers taking part so far include Badger, bigfatbig, Big Romance, Cheap Lunch, Cortney Dixon, Crane House, Crimewave, Feeble Strength, Frolic Acid, Galaxians, Irked, Jellyskin, Look Terrified, Melanie Baker, Milk Lizards, Muckle, No Teeth, Rubber Oh, Shields, The Timewasters, Warm Digits, Vigilance State, Wormboys and more.
As always, the event is programmed in conjunction with the venues themselves, and also a handful of the region’s most exciting and finger-on-the-pulse promoters, which this year include Wandering Oak, Endless Window and Flat Four Records. There’s even more to celebrate too – this year The Tyne Bar commemorate their 30th anniversary, so expect some surprises on the night!
